  • Captain Edd Twigg passes away

  • Edd was born March 20, 1938 to Donn and Norma (Lockhard) Twigg in Indiana, PA. Edd, in the early days, competed on a national level in the AHRA winning national titles. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a charter boat captain on the western basin of Lake Erie for over thirty years operating the Walleye Warrior fishing boat. He was a member of Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church.

  • Captain Edd Twigg, 72, passed away Aug. 29, 2010.
    Edd was born March 20, 1938 to Donn and Norma (Lockhard) Twigg in Indiana, PA. Edd, in the early days, competed on a national level in the AHRA winning national titles. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a charter boat captain on the western basin of Lake Erie for over thirty years operating the Walleye Warrior fishing boat. He was a member of Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church.
    His greatest love was his wife, children and grand children. His second love was selling cars and trucks for Chrysler which he did for 50 years. The last 35 years was with Mr. Klaben at Chapel Hill Dodge and later Klaben Dodge.  
    Edd was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Donn Jr. and sister, Evelyn and son-in-law John Katoll; and is survived by his wife of 47 years Linda; son Joseph (Janine); daughter Jennifer Katoll-Twigg, grand children Addison and Aidan; brothers Sam (Marge), Ernie (Donna), Rev. Augie (Rev. Ainee), Ken (Deborah), Tom (Gail), Tim (Penny) and Randy (Terri); sisters Norma (Jim), Metz (Art), Doris (Terry), Beverly (Jim) Bonnie and Cindy; Youngblood brothers-in-law, Karl (Pat), John (Valerie), Dan (Rita), Kenneth (Sandy), Richard, Deacon Dale (Ann), and Deacon Robert (Jan); and sisters-in-law Shirley (Frank) and Joan (Richard).
    Calling hours were held at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Road, where a Vigil Service was held and where a Rosary was recited. Mass of Christian burial was held at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nativity of the Lord Jesus Youth Ministries.
