  • Trustees plan to set public hearings for a joint economic development agreement and for a requested zoning amendment during their Tuesday meeting.
Trustees meet in general session at 5 p.m. at Township Hall, 5735 Wales Ave. NW.
They will hear more about a proposed economic development agreement among Jackson Township, Plain Township, Canton and North Canton that would allow for tax revenue sharing while halting annexation attempts. The agreement was discussed Monday at the Canton and North Canton city council meetings. The suggested date for the public hearing is 6 p.m. Oct. 30 at Township Hall.
Trustees will also designate a public hearing for a requested zoning amendment that would allow Redwood Acquisition to build single-story apartments on 23.75 acres near the southeast corner of Portage Street NW and Wales Avenue NW. The suggested date for the public hearing is 5:30 p.m. Oct. 9.
During the meeting, trustees will also make appointments to next year’s Community Celebration committee and authorize advertising for a vacant secretary’s position.
Prior to the regular meeting, trustees will meet in executive session to discuss legal department personnel and police department personnel.
