Lake Local Schools Board of Education
KEY ACTION Approved Lake Local School bus routes for 2013-2014. There are 10 fewer routes this year from last year.
DISCUSSION Superintendent Jeff Wendorf said the district reorganized almost the entire transportation program. He said there were a few periods of adjustments during the first couple of days of this school year due in part to some of the bus drivers being assigned to new routes.
“There seemed to be more concerns from people in the district over the time changes than any other issues,” Wendorf said. “The target goal for anticipated savings to the district is $300,000.”
• Accepted a $500 donation from The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., 200 Innovation Way, Dept. 617, Akron, to further support the science, technology, engineering and math education programs.
