  • Residents at Greenview Senior Assisted Living in Green participated in a program July 23 which allowed them to make their own quality jewelry.  The presenter, 88-year-old Bill Hagerman of Green, led the hands-on demonstration sharing his 30-year hobby with the residents.
Many Greenview residents chose to make a necklace and earrings.
“I like stringing the beads and making the designs.”  Hagerman said. “I am glad that each of the ladies’ dexterity was good and they could make their necklaces and earrings.”
To make the jewelry residents used Swarovski pearls, Swarovski crystals, colored jade, colored cat eyes and hematite beads.
“I’m glad was able to make the items myself,” resident Betty McCoutie, 95, said.
Greenview Senior Assisted Living is located at 4000 Massillon Road in Uniontown.
