  • Sometimes, it’s the smallest investments that pay off the most.
North Canton resident Joe Cronin discovered that recently when his was the winning raffle ticket in the Jackson Township Lions Club’s shopping spree raffle.
As the winner, Cronin had the chance to race through aisles of the Jackson Townshp Buehler’s Fresh Foods, loading his cart with as much as possible before darting to the checkout where Lions Club members picked up the tab.
For his $5 raffle ticket investment, Cronin picked up $308 in groceries.
All of the money raised from the raffle fundraiser – more than $2,000 –  benefits the Lions Club and its mission. Throughout the year, the funding will be used for eye screenings, eye care, scholarships, and local projects.
