  • At approximately 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Springfield Township officers responded to a Carper Avenue home where a barricaded subject was making threats and armed with a handgun. METRO SWAT was activated and responded to the scene. After a short standoff with police, the suspect surrendered without further incident. An air soft pistol modified to appear real was located at the scene.  Brandon A. Riley, 19, of Springfield Township was arrested and charged with inducing panic. He was booked into the Summit County Jail.
