An attorney and his wife found murdered in their New Franklin home died of blunt trauma to the head, investigators said Thursday.
The police department is holding a news conference with regard to the murder of a local attorney and his wife.
Jeffrey Schobert, 56, and his wife, Margaret, 59, were pronounced dead in their home on Rex Lake Drive at 2:36 p.m. Tuesday, said Patrick Gillespie of the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of each death was listed as blunt impact to the head.
On Wednesday, New Franklin and Akron police were trying to determine whether the brutal March 23 stabbing of their daughter was tied to their deaths.
New Franklin Police Chief Daniel Davidson was scheduled to hold a news conference at 1:30 p.m. Thursday to discuss the homicide. No details are yet available.
