Summit County sheriff’s deputies arrested three men after a Green business was robbed.
Two 19-year-old Green men were arrested after a robbery at Thomas’ Drive-Thru.
A third man was arrested after police found him with illegal drugs at one of the suspect’s home.
Kenneth Simmons and David Murren III were arrested Monday on aggravated robbery charges stemming from the March 29 robbery of the drive-thru business on South Arlington Road, said Inspector William Holland of the Summit County Sheriff’s Department.
Two men in dark clothing and ski masks entered the business at 10 p.m. that night, approached two employees and demanded cash and cellphones, Holland said. The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of money and the cellphones.
Deputies submitted evidence from the scene to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation laboratory in Richfield for DNA processing, Holland said.
“The DNA retrieved from the scene matched the DNA of an individual in the DNA database,” Holland said. He did not identify which suspect matched.
When deputies search Murren’s home, however, they found additional evidence, Holland said.
They also found an 18-year-old Springfield man, who had hash oil, drug paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of money, he said. The man was arrested on misdemeanor drug possession charges.
