  • The missing 14-year-old girl from Jackson Township was located Friday and is safe, investigators said.
Emma Newland went missing Tuesday after getting in an argument with a friend, her mother, Angela Newland said.
Jackson Township police issued a statement Friday that Emma had been found around 2:25 p.m. in Medina County but offered no other details.
On Friday evening, Angela Newland said she was waiting to go pick Emma up. Her daughter, she added, was in good health.
She said she appreciated the efforts of law enforcement to find her daughter and the support the family received through social media.
“I’m speechless .... Everybody’s been on top of this,” she said.
