  • 'Underdogs' to hold another audition for movie roles

  • The football-themed movie being filmed in Stark County will hold a second round of auditions for football players and cheerleaders. The casting call also will include extra parts as fans. The audition is 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Hoover Auditorium in North Canton.

  • A second open casting call is set for Saturday for the football-themed “Underdogs” movie.
    Auditions for extra roles will be 1 to 4 p.m. at Hoover Auditorium at 219 E. Maple St. in downtown North Canton.
    “Underdogs” is being directed by Stark County native Doug Dearth. The film crew recently held the first round of auditions.
    Media Services Entertainment will be casting men ages 18 to 24 for extra parts as football players. The men must be between 5 feet 6 inches and 6 feet 6 inches.
    Auditions also will take place for women ages 18 to 24 for roles as cheerleaders. The height requirement is between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 10 inches.
    The casting call also includes parts as fans and “background extras,” including all ages and ethnicities.
