  • Area residents took off on a fun, family adventure March 30 when The Summit Church in Green held its first Space Blast at the Green YMCA. This community event served as an opportunity for church members to invite friends, family, and neighbors to an evening of free fun and activities.
The Summit took over the YMCA by filling the gym with inflatable games, an egg hunt, and serving ice cream sundaes.
With more than 400 people in attendance and great weather, the night was an excellent opportunity for local families to get together and enjoy each other’s company.
The purpose of Space Blast was to provide a unique activity for families around the Easter holiday. It also allowed the church to engage families, serve the community, and raise awareness about  the church’s ministry.
Pastor Tom Hogsed was encouraged by the turnout and is looking forward to holding additional events of this kind.
