KEY ACTION Trustees denied a petition proposing street lights be installed on Concord Street NW.
DISCUSSION Thursday marked part two of a public hearing for a request for street lights for Concord Street NW. Following a public hearing earlier this month, fiscal officer Randy Gonzalez sent letters to residents of Concord Street NW, explaining what the proposed lights would look like and how much they would cost. The letter offered residents the option of removing their names from the petition if the information they learned changed their minds. As of Thursday, fewer than half of the residents had signed or kept their names on the petition, rendering it invalid. Board of Trustees President James Walters said that even if there had been a valid petition, “what we don’t have is consensus” among residents.
