  • Trustees will continue discussion about a proposal to put street lights up along Concord Street NW during a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Township Hall, 5735 Wales Ave. NW.
Earlier this month, trustees heard from residents both in favor and opposed to the street lights but delayed making a decision after several people spoke against the idea. Officials also wanted to make sure all street residents understood what the lights would look like and how much they would cost. The street lights for Concord Street NW would be telephone-pole lights and would cost residents $73.24 for the first five years and $19.40 annually after that, fiscal officer Randy Gonzalez said during the last meeting.
According to township documents, residents can petition to create a street-lighting district for their neighborhood.
Also during Thursday’s meeting, trustees will pay township bills and hear Ohio Division of Liquor Control notices.
Prior to the meeting, township officials will meet in executive session to discuss legal department personnel and to consider the charges or complaints against a public employee, licensee or regulated individual.
