  • Township Police arrested a man Friday night after they say he entered a residence in the 4600 block of High Mill Avenue and attacked the residents.
According to the police report, Thomas D. Stark, 31, of 7198 Strausser St. NW in Jackson Township, entered the home on High Mill through an unlocked front door.
Once inside, a male resident said Stark immediately grabbed him by the neck and choked and punched him.
The female resident of the home heard the struggle and entered the room where Stark tackled her, according to police.
The male resident broke a glass over the defendant’s head, and Stark eventually ran from the scene.
Police found him at the corner of High Mill Avenue and Erie Street and say he was shirtless and soaking wet. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment before being booked into the Stark County Jail.
He was arrested for aggravated burglary and assault.
