They take photos of their beachside paradise all the time. Sometimes it’s hard to pick out the tourists from the locals, because everyone’s got a camera.
The difference is, they know the good spots. They know all the names of native wildlife. And now they’re busy taking pictures of the hundreds of BP hires who have come to clean the oil from their beaches.
Dolores Pittman of nearby Gulf Breeze, Fla., has been out snapping photos of the oil rig explosion aftermath ever since the first few tar balls rolled up on Pensacola-area shores this month. Here are some of the shots she has taken.
