Stark County’s fallen law enforcement officers will be remembered in the annual memorial service Friday.
Law enforcement officers from across Stark County will gather for the 19th annual public memorial service Friday commemorating fallen law enforcement officers.
The brief service takes place at noon at the star-shaped memorial on the northeast corner grounds of the Stark County Common Pleas Courthouse at Tuscarawas Street and Market Avenue in downtown Canton.
The formal ceremony includes a rose laid at the base of the memorial as the names of those officers who died in the line of duty are called out.
The star-shaped Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) McKinley Lodge No. 2 Police Memorial bears the names of local law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.
