Jimmy Kimmel has never minced words when it comes to Jay Leno, so it should come as no surprise that he's taking another shot at his timeslot competitor.

In the midst of reports that NBC plans to replace Leno with Jimmy Fallon and move The Tonight Show back to New York, Kimmel isn't shocked if this is indeed the network's plan.

"Obviously, NBC is looking to move on, because they did it once already," Kimmel told CNN's Jake Tapper. "This would be the second time that this has happened. So I mean, it makes perfect sense. And Jimmy Fallon is doing a great job."

Kimmel admitted that he's had a history of being hard on Leno. "My mother told me to stop. I have diarrhea of the mouth," he said and agreed with Tapper's view that Leno has been dumbing down his jokes. "I think that's fair to say," Kimmel said.
