Now that NBC is reportedly planning Jimmy Fallon's succession to the Tonight Show throne, the question is who will replace Fallon at 12:35/11:35c?

According to The New York Post, the answer is Howard Stern. The newspaper says that NBC is "grooming" the shock jock and America's Got Talent judge to take over Late Night.

Do these TV shows need to die?

Throughout his prolific career on the radio, Stern has tried several times - some more successfully than others - to transition to the small screen. The Howard Stern Show aired from 1990-1992 in New York and, beginning in 1994, E! ran a half-hour version of his radio show for 11 years. During this time, The Howard Stern Radio Show also briefly aired on Saturdays on CBS in 1998, but his material proved too risqué.

Is NBC planning Jay Leno's retirement?

Stern, 59, joined America's Got Talent last summer and will return this season.

Do you think Stern would be a good replacement for Fallon? Who do you want to see take over Fallon's show when, or if, he replaces Jay Leno?
