The Raiders hired Tony Sparano as the team’s assistant head coach/offensive line.

Sparano was the Jets’ offensive coordinator in 2012, but was fired following the season after the Jets finished 30th in the league in offense.

From 2008-11, Sparano was the head coach of the Dolphins. He was fired near the end of the 2011 season.

Sparano was the Cowboys’ offensive line coach and assistant head coach from 2003-07. He has also been an assistant with the Redskins (tight ends coach, 2001) and Browns (offensive quality control and offensive line coach, 1999-2000). Sparano joins the Raiders’ offensive staff, which recently hired new coordinator Greg Olson.
