State Route 8 in the Village of Boston Heights
(Friday night, May 15 – Saturday morning, May 16)
SR 8 northbound from Boston Mills Rd. to Hines Hill Rd. will be reduced to one lane Friday night, May 15 at 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday morning, May 16.
(Monday night, May 18 –Tuesday morning, May 19)
SR 8 northbound from Boston Mills Rd. to Hines Hill Rd. will be reduced to one lane Monday night, May 18 at 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, May 19.
This work is part of a $68.4 million project to create a new SR 8 interchange that connects the Ohio Turnpike interchange with Boston Mills and Hines Hill roads through the construction of frontage roads, eliminating the signalized intersections on SR 8 at Boston Mills and Hines Hill roads. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by June 2011.
State Route 8 in the City of Cuyahoga Falls
(The week of Monday, May 18)
SR 8 from just south of Howe Ave. to Graham Rd. will have various lane restrictions in either or both directions for resurfacing work. These restrictions will occur Monday through Friday nights from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. During these hours, SR 8 will be reduced to two lanes at 7 p.m. and then down to one lane at approximately 10 p.m. This work is part of a $6 million project to resurface SR 8 from the Howe Ave. interchange to the Graham Rd. interchange through the City of Cuyahoga Falls. This project also includes bridge work to eleven bridges. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by August 2009.
State Route 8 in the Cities of Stow and Hudson
(The week of Monday, May 18)
When weather permits, SR 8 from Graham Rd. to SR 303 will be reduced to two lanes in either or both directions at various locations for pavement repairs. This work is part of a $4.3 million project to perform minor repairs and diamond grinding to the concrete pavement from Graham Rd. to SR 303 as well as partial resurfacing from SR 303 to Hines Hill Rd. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by late May 2009.
State Route 21 in Copley Township

SR 21 northbound from the Copley Township line to I-77 will be reduced to one lane Friday night, May 15 from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday morning, May 16.
(Monday night, May 18 –Tuesday morning, May 19)
SR 21 northbound from the Copley Township line to I-77 will be reduced to one lane Monday night, May 18 from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, May 19.
This work is part of an $8.9 million project to resurface SR 21 from SR 585 to I-77 as well as minor bridge work. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by July 2009.
Interstate 77 in the Cities of Green & Akron and Coventry Township
(The week of Monday, May 18)
I-77 between Arlington Rd. and Archwood Ave. will have various lane restrictions in either or both directions for resurfacing work. These restrictions will occur Monday through Friday nights from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. During these hours, I-77 will be reduced to two lanes at 6 p.m. and then down to one lane at approximately 9 p.m.
(Monday, May 18)
I-77 southbound between Arlington Road and Archwood Ave. will be reduced to two lanes for bridge repairs. These restrictions will be in place from 4 a.m. until 3 p.m.
(Monday, May 18 – Wednesday, May 20)
The US 224 westbound exit ramp from I-77 northbound will be closed Monday through Wednesday nights from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. The detour will be the exit to US 224 eastbound to Kelly Avenue to US 224 westbound.
(Monday, May 18, Tuesday, May 19 & Thursday, May 21)
The US 224 eastbound exit ramp from I-77 southbound will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Thursday night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The detour will be the exit to US 224 westbound to Main Street to US 224 eastbound.
This work is part of a $4.4 million project to resurface I-77 from Killian Road to the US 224/I-277 interchange. The project also includes sign replacements and bridge work. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2009.
State Route 82 in the City of Twinsburg and Twinsburg Township
(Friday night, May 29 – Monday morning, June 1)
The earlier scheduled closure of SR 82, just east of SR 91, for this weekend, (May 15 - May 18) has been postponed due to the predicted weather until the weekend, May 29 - June 1. At that time, this section of SR 82 will close from 7 p.m. Friday night, May 29 until 5 a.m. Monday morning, June 1 for a bridge deck overlay. The detour will be SR 43 to SR 91. This work is the beginning of a $900,000 project to resurface SR 82 from Cannon Rd. to the Portage County line as well as minor bridge work. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by late August 2009.
U. S. Route 224 in Springfield Township
(The week of Monday, May 18)
US 224 from the eastern Akron corporation limit (near Hilbish Ave.) to SR 91 will have lane restrictions in either or both directions for resurfacing work. As the week progresses, lane restrictions with traffic being maintained by flaggers may begin on US 224 from SR 91 to SR 532. Updates will follow as this work progresses. This work is part of a $1.3 million project to resurface US 224 from the eastern Akron corporation limit to SR 532. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by the end of July 2009.
State Route 261 in the City of Norton
(The week of Monday, May 18)
SR 261 from the Medina Corporation limit to the western Akron Corporation limit (Collier Rd.) may have various daytime lane restrictions with traffic being maintained by flaggers for resurfacing and bridge work. This work is the beginning of a $1.3 million project to resurface SR 261 from the Medina County line to the western Akron corporation limit. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by the end of August 2009.

Seasons Road at State Route 8 in the Cities of Hudson and Stow

Season Rd. under SR 8 is closed until early September for reconstruction. The detour is Wyoga Lake Rd. to Steels Corners Rd. to Hudson Dr. This work is part of a $6.4 million project to construct a new interchange at Seasons Rd. and SR 8. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by June 2010.
Steels Corners Road at State Route 8 in the City of Stow
(Until further notice)
Steels Corners Rd. at the SR 8 interchange and at the intersection of Steels Corners Rd., Allen Rd., and Hudson Dr. has various lane restrictions for widening and reconstruction work. This work is part of a $5.7 million project to widen and reconstruct Steels Corners Rd. from the SR 8 interchange to the Steels Corners Rd./Allen Rd./Hudson Dr. intersection. The project also includes the reconstruction of the existing ramps at SR 8, the Steels Corners Rd. bridge over SR 8 and both Hudson Dr. and Allen Rd. at the intersection of Steels Corners Rd. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by late September 2009.
State Route 8 and Interstate 271 in Boston Heights, Hudson, Macedonia and Northfield Center Township

SR 8 under I-271 will have various lane restrictions in either or both directions Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
I-271 northbound and southbound at the I-271/SR 8 interchange is reduced to one 11’ through lane with the right lanes in each direction being an exit-only lane to SR 8. In addition, the I-271 southbound exit ramp to SR 8 is reduced to 11’ as well. These restrictions will remain in place until late September 2009 and are necessary in order to begin the construction of the new I-271 ramps to and from SR 8 and for the reconstruction of three bridges; one over SR 8, one over Brandywine; and one over Olde Eight Rd..
This work is part of a $109.7 million project for the reconstruction of SR 8 from just south of Twinsburg Rd. to just north of I-271. New ramps will be built to access I-271 from SR 8 northbound and SR 8 southbound from I-271 southbound. SR 8 has been separated from Twinsburg Rd. and Highland Rd. has been widened with additional turn lanes and new signalization. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by mid-summer 2010.
Interstate 77 in the Village of Richfield and Richfield Township

I-77 between I-271 and the Ohio Turnpike will have various nightly lane restrictions in either or both directions to prepare for bridge work. These lane restrictions will occur Monday through Friday nights from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. This work is part of a $10.7 million project to re-deck and paint eight bridges in the northern portion of Summit County on I-77, including two over SR 303, two over Brecksville Rd. and SR 21 southbound, two over Furnace Run and two over Brush Rd. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by late September 2010.
State Route 82 in the City of Macedonia

Park Ave. at SR 82 is closed until mid-June for reconstruction. The detour is SR 82 to East Valley View Rd. SR 82 from South Bedford Rd. to just east of Crow Dr. will have a minimum of one lane of traffic in each direction. This work is part of a $14 million project to widen SR 82 to five lanes from South Bedford Rd. to just east of Crow Dr. with the replacement of the railroad bridge over SR 82 in the City of Macedonia. This project also includes drainage and signal improvements. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by late October 2009.
Interstate 271 over the Cuyahoga River in Boston Township

I-271 over the Cuyahoga River will be reduced to one lane in either or both directions for bridge work. These lane restrictions will occur Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. These one lane conditions on I-271 are expected to continue throughout the Spring. This work is part of a $34.7 million project to replace the I-271 twin bridges over the Cuyahoga River and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
