Lake High School senior Nikki VanRiper has committed to attend Mount Union College and compete on the softball team this fall.
VanRiper, a 3rd baseman/ shortstop, was an all-district and all-league selection for coach Kerry Kaser at Lake High School.
Mount Union finished the 2009 season with a 28-16 record and advanced to the OAC Tournament title game for a second year in a row.
VanRiper plans to study psychology and is the daughter of Chris and Mindi VanRiper of Hartville.
