It’s that time of year again as the 2012 edition of the Summer Classic Golf Outing, hosted by The University of Akron men’s basketball team, is set for Aug. 20, at the Medina Country Club in Medina.
Alumni, friends and fans will have the opportunity to play on this beautiful course while enjoying the company of the coaching staff of your 2012 Mid-American Conference regular season champions.
Registration for the event is now open, with a number of ways fans and sponsors can participate. From joining as part of a foursome to taking part in one of the many sponsorship opportunities available for the event, everyone has an opportunity to help the men’s basketball program continue to be one of the premier mid-major programs in the country.
In order to accommodate the incredible amount of interest in the event, the 2012 Summer Golf Classic will include two flights, with the first set for a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. ET. The afternoon flight will begin at 2 p.m.
