The Springfield Spartans fifth grade cheerleaders went to the 2009 Revere Spirit Spectacular Competition presented by- All-Star Cheerleading Inc. on Nov. 8.
There were 36 total teams competing at the event. The Spartans took 1st place in their Division Championship.
They received a team trophy and each team member was given a 1st place bronze medal to hang around their necks.
The team of B-JV Cheerleaders (5th Grade) include the following. The bottom row is Taylor Cole, Ashlee Gurnish, Alayna Slater, Kathi Kline, Abigail Tanner and Autumn Wassam.
The top row is trainer Kailey Kyser, Marissa Watkins, Madison Angerstien, Kayla Evans, Abbi Croft, Aliyah Wright, Autumn Williams and trainer Abigail Dean
Team Parents (not in picture) included Jacob Watkins and Janet Watkins.
The girls worked hard to earn 1st place. They were practicing three days a week at the end. The girls pulled it off with all the hard work and determination of the cheerleaders and coaches to bring the trophy to bring home.
