Akron and Altoona finished their series Thursday morning with a pitcher's duel. Frank Hermann, Jimmy Barthmaier and the bullpens kept bats quiet as the Aeros prevailed 1-0. Akron took three of four games in the series to improve to 15-18 while Altoona fell to 13-20.

Keys to the Game:
Hermann pitched seven innings of lights out innings of two-hit baseball, allowing the Curve to reach second base only one time in the game.
Catcher Armando Camacaro drove in the only run of the game in the second inning, plating Matt Whitney for his ninth RBI of the season.
Jose Constanza nabbed his 10th stolen base of the year.
Randy Newsom completed his eighth save of the season, though did it in tightwire fashion as he walked one and gave up two hits before sealing the deal

The Aeros homestand continues Friday night when the Trenton Thunder visit Canal Park for a three-game series. This will be a rematch of the Eastern League Championship of a year ago.
