- The U.S. women's soccer team won the Olympic gold yesterday, as midfielder Carli Lloyd scored both goals to win the game in a 2-1 victory. Hope Solo made some amazing diving saves to stop the Japanese from scoring. Click the link above to read more about the game.

- After 10 events over the span of two days, American Ashton Eaton won the Olympic gold medal in the decathlon. His teammate, Trey Hardee, won the silver. Eaton finished with a score of 8,869, just 24 points short of the Olympic record. Click the link above to read more.
