London Olympics: Ryan Lochte tries for another gold

Happening today at the Olympics:

- Men's 200-meter freestyle swimming. American Ryan Lochte is going for another gold medal and is the favorite in today's events. Michael Phelps is not competing in this event. Lochte will try to recover from Sunday's disappointing swim

- Women's 100-meter backstroke swimming. Missy Franklin from the U.S. is the favorite in this event. 

- Men's 100-meter backstroke swimming. American Matt Grevers goes for gold. 

- Women's 100-meter breaststroke swimming. Breeja Larson and Rebecca Soni from the U.S. are both expected to medal.

- Gymnastics: The U.S. men's gymnastics team competes today, and they will be led by Danell Leyva. The men's team hasn't won a gold medal since 1984.

- Men's and women's judo 

- Men's synchronized 10-meter platform diving

- Women's weighlifting (128 pounds)

- Men's weighlifting (137 pounds)

- Women's individual epee, fencing
