On July 21 the Goodyear Hunting & Fishing Club is sponsoring a free "Passport to Fishing" class with the support of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to introduce the basics of fishing to children ages 17 and younger.
Each child will receive a fishing rod and reel to keep. Certified instructors will teach kids about casting, fishing knots, rigging, fish habitat and handling your catch. Class size is limited to 40 people. Parents are encouraged to attend. The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Goodyear Hunting & Fishing Club, 1221 Wingfoot Lake Road in Suffield.
