COLUMBUS  The rain that swamped much of Ohio last week wreaked havoc on the course at the National Trail Raceway in Hebron, forcing the postponement of the Ohio High School Athletic Association state cross country championships.

The Jackson boys and girls cross country teams, along with the Green girls team, were scheduled to compete Nov. 3, with the boys running at 12:30 p.m. and the girls to follow at 3 p.m. as the final race of the day. The schedule remains the same, with all races moved back one week to Nov. 10. The Division III boys race will be first at 11 a.m., followed by Division II boys at 11:45, Division I boys, then Division III girls at 1:30 p.m., Division II girls at 2:15 p.m. and Division I girls as the sixth race of the day.

Lake runners Nathan Moore and Tyler Wierzbicki will be competing as individuals in the Division I boys race.
