COVENTRY TWP. The Walsh Cavaliers may want to consider changing their team colors to blue and yellow this fall, at least on the football field.
Multiple members of the Coventry senior class that helped guide the program to an 8-2 record last fall have committed to Walsh, with senior lineman Dylan Tennant the latest addition.
Tennant was a fixture for the Comets at center the past four seasons, starting all four years and twice earning honorable mention honors for the Portage Trail Conference. His play up front was a key part of clearing the way for record-setting efforts by playmakers such as Treon Sibley, former Coventry receiver Dusty Burkhart and others.
For his signing, Tennant was joined by his parents and members of the Coventry coaching staff. Walsh is an NCAA Division II school competing in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
