JACKSON TWP.  Jackson senior Nikolette Zanolli, a key member of the group that kept the Polar Bears six-season-plus Federal League undefeated streak rolling, has signed to continue her academic and athletic careers at Robert Morris University.

Zanolli, who was the libero for the Polar Bears, was a Third Team All-Ohio selection, Player of the Year for District 4, Libero of the Year in Stark County and Player of the Year in the Federal League as a senior.

Head coach Jeff Walck cited Zanolli’s ability to read the opposing attacker and her relentless pursuit of the ball as the qualities that made her an important part of the team’s state semifinal run. Robert Morris is an NCAA Division I program competing in Northeast Conference.
