• Police arrested an Apple Court boy, 17, on a charge of unruly juvenile offenses by being habitually disobedient. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in Stark County Family Court and released with a signed promise to appear by his father.

• A Fairview Street SE man, 68, reported that a known suspect pushed his video camera out of his hand while the victim was recording the suspect and his wife at a high school soccer match. An investigation is pending.

• A Canton woman, 35, reported that a known suspect dragged her out of a South Main Street location, dragging her from the building to the concrete outside. The victim told police the male suspect tried to remove her from an office and into a van for a ride home. Police arrested the suspect and charged him with assault.

• Police arrested a Woodcrest Avenue NE man, 49, and charged him with assault and patient abuse or neglect. The suspect was taken into custody at Cleveland Avenue location and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• A Canton woman, 37, was arrested during a traffic stop on Market Avenue South and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle for interstate travel exceeding 48 hours. The suspect was booked into the Stark County Jail on an outstanding warrant.

• A North Canton man was arrested at a Main Street location on charges of possession of heroin, possession of drug abuse instruments, a hit-skip driving collision and failure to maintain an assured clear distance. The suspect was found to be in possession of drugs following a traffic incident and was booked into the Stark County Jail.

• An employee at a Whipple Avenue business reported that a known individual left company property with a motor vehicle. The suspect attempted to keep the vehicle after financing was declined on the vehicle and a warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest.

• A 5th Street NW woman, 45, was issued a citation and a summons to appear in court after police determined that she had allowed her dogs to run at large. The suspect was ordered to appear in Canton Municipal Court.

• Police arrested a Canton man, 39, at a South Main Street residence after he was found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in court and released at the scene.

• A homeless man was arrested after being found passed out intoxicated on the property of a North Main Street church. Police found alcohol on his person and the suspect appeared to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and having an open container of alcohol in public. 

• A Canton man, 28, was arrested at a Market Avenue location on an outstanding warrant. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to a Stark County Sheriff’s deputy.

• Officers responded to a call from an apartment on Emerson Avenue with a reported domestic dispute. The officers met the resident and his mother, who confirmed a verbal dispute, but insisted their had been no physical altercation. The two said they were arguing about money and after further investigation, the two parties agreed to go their separate ways.

• Police received a call regarding an argument at a Pershing Avenue apartment complex. They arrived to find a male and female inside a car that was backing out of a parking space and were involved in the dispute. The two were arguing and the female told police she waned to leave, at which point the male agreed to take her to Akron, where she has family. Neither part reported any violence or threats of violence or appeared to be in distress. After speaking with officers, the male left to drive the female to Akron.

• A Liberty Lane woman, 22, reported that a known person stole money from her. The victim told police the suspect stole $570 from her and showed them a photo and video on her phone to support the claim. An investigation is pending.
