JACKSON TWP.  Jackson first baseman Stone King has joined the growing list of seniors on this year’s roster who have committed to play college baseball next season, inking his letter of intent with Malone University.

King, a two-year letterwinner, has played both first base and designated hitter for the Polar Bears and was part of last season’s Federal League title run. He will rejoin four former Jackson teammates who are currently part of the program at Malone and will play for veteran head coach Tom Crank.

Malone is an NCAA Division II program competing in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. King was joined for his signing by his mother Darlene King, father Mike King, sister McKenna King and Jackson head coach Bill Gamble.
