GREEN Green High School senior lacrosse player Kayla Koontz was one of five athletes to make their college commitment on national signing day.
Koontz, one of the senior leaders for a team looking to take another step forward this spring, will play collegiately for Walsh next season. With Koontz and her fellow returnees from last season, the Bulldogs are hoping to register double-digit wins again this season and make a deep run into the state tournament.
During her time at Green, Koontz has been named a Scholar Athlete and has also played basketball. She plans to major in pre-medicine at Walsh, which is an NCAA Division II school competing in the Greater Midwest Athletic Conference.
