• The 200 medley relay team of Mackenzie Shroyer, Katherine McNeil, Emerson Zahab and Lindsey Collins won the 200 medley relay and Zahah also won the 100 butterfly for Green as the Bulldogs placed third as a team behind Jackson and Hoover at the Canton Division I girls sectional swimming meet. McNeil also earned a spot at regionals by finishing third in the 100 breaststroke.

• Coventry placed second with a team score of 4,115 and Springfield ranked fifth with a score of 3,694 at the Portage Trail Conference boys bowling championships. The Spartans and Comets also finished third and fifth, respectively, in the girls championships.

• With 19 points from Jarad Dunn and 13 from Lukas Swartz, Mogadore's boys basketball team outlasted Portage Trail Conference County Division foe Rootstown in a 63-58 decision.

• Maddie Ross had 11 points and Megan Murray added 10 for Coventry, which dropped a 50-33 road decision to Portage Trail Conference County Division foe Crestwood in girls basketball.

• Abbie Pearce had a team-high 14 points and teammate Marissa Berlin tied her with 14 points and 11 rebounds as Green bested Norton 51-35 in a non-league girls basketball matchup. 

• Alicia Smith reached double figures with 13 points and teammate Alivia Senevoravong had nine, while Smith snagged a team-best seven rebounds for Springfield in a 56-52 Portage Trail Conference girls basketball loss to Woodridge.

• Chloe Moore led Lake Center Christian with 15 points and Kennedy Haubert scored 10, but it wasn’t quite enough as the Tigers fell 44-41 to Kenmore in a non-league girls basketball contest.

• Jarmond Hogg led all scorers with 17 points, Sam Vanadia added 13 and Drew Williams chipped in with 11 as Coventry's boys basketball team extended its winning streak with a 64-38 Portage Trail Conference win over neighborhood rival Springfield. Andrew Hanna had five points and Shae Moles also added five for the visiting Spartans in defeat.

• Jordan Campbell led Manchester with 10 points and Sammi VanScoy chipped in nine for Manchester in a 57-37 loss to Tusky Valley in PAC-7 girls basketball action.

• Kelsie Glass notched a game-high 18 points Savanna Maynard had 10 to power Green to a 54-36 non-league girls basketball win over Kent Roosevelt.

• Behind 11 points from Taylor Champagne and seven from Abby Butler, Lake earned its fourth win of the season, 41-31 over Copley in a non-league girls basketball game. 

• Preslie Halliwill made 14 free throws and scored 16 points, but Mogadore couldn’t overcome a sluggish third quarter in a 62-32 girls basketball loss to Jackson-Milton. 

• Tyler Doerrer won the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle and Dominic Polletta also qualified for the regional meet by placing third in the 100 butterfly for Green at the Canton Division I sectional boys swimming meet. Andrew Rohweder also earned a regional spot with a second-place result in the 100 breaststroke.

• JoJo France had 17 points, Van Wallbrown had 14, Coye Schuler contributed 12 and Jake Hettich had 11 in a 58-48 PAC-7 boys basketball win over Triway.

• Matt Spotleson had a team-best 10 points, Jake Maranville scored nine and Lake trailed by just six points after one quarter, but fell 69-48 to Jackson in a Federal League boys basketball contest.

• Caleb Graber won by pinfall at 120 pounds and Tyler Kaminski won by decision at 126 pounds for Green in a 66-15 Federal League wrestling loss to Hoover.
