• Three players scored in double figures with Jarmond Hogg leading the way with 19 and Drew Williams and Dusty Burkhart added 14 and 13, respectively, as Coventry dropped a last-minute 59-58 decision to Portage Trail Conference rival Woodridge.

• JoJo France led all scorers with 24 points, Nick Beans added eight and Van Wallbrown scored seven to power Manchester to a 69-44 PAC-7 win over Triway.

• Jenna Trainer led the way with 16 points, Abbie Pearce and Kelsie Glass added 13 and 10, respectively, as Green topped Ravenna 64-35 in the Barberton Holiday Showcase tournament.

• Ali Karas made 10 free throws and led all scorers with 12 points in Springfield’s 43-34 Portage Trail Conference girls basketball loss to Woodridge. Karas also had a team-best four rebounds for the Spartans. 

• Jarad Dunn had 13 points, Austin Williams added 10 and Mogadore spoiled Norton’s first game in its new gym, beating the Panthers 63-56 in a crossover game between teams from different Portage Trail Conference divisions.

• Jen Johnston led Green with a high game of 206 and the Bulldogs had a high baker game of 216, but it wasn’t quite enough as Perry emerged with a 2,396-2,263 Federal League girls bowling win.

• Senior guard Chloe Moore had 16 points, including two 3-pointers, to top Lake Center Christian in a 91-29 loss to Southeast in a Portage Trail Conference girls basketball contest.

• Jarmond Hogg had a game-high 22 points to lead Coventry as the Comets survived a fourth-quarter rally by host Springfield to earn a 68-62 Portage Trail Conference road win. Drew Williams added 10 points for the Comets, while Andrew Hanna made four 3-pointers and had a team-high 16 points for the Spartans. Logan Hedrick added 12 for Springfield, which outscored Coventry 28-14 in the final period.

• Joe McBride scored 16 points and made four 3-pointers, while teammate Jimmy Kirven sank three from beyond the arc and scored 13 as Lake remained undefeated in Federal League play with a 66-45 win over Perry.

• Kaleb Martin led the way with 17 points and Miles Demuesy had 12 as 11 different players scored for Green in a 76-32 non-league win over East. Devin Limerick grabbed eight rebounds for the Bulldogs to help his team to a 38-25 rebounding advantage.

• John Paul Miller had 20 points and C.J. Bancroft added nine, but Lake Center Christian couldn’t complete its late comeback and fell 56-53 to Crestwood in a Portage Trail Conference boys basketball game.

• Megan Murray scored a game-high 16 points to lead Coventry to a 45-35 road victory against Springfield in girls basketball action. Alivia Senevoravong had 15 points to top Springfield and Rachel Rodenbucher added nine. Melissa Walsh grabbed seven rebounds to pace Springfield to a 27-25 rebounding advantage.

• Marissa Berlin narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and seven rebounds and Jenna Trainer led Green with 12 points, but the Bulldogs came up short in a 57-39 Federal League loss to Jackson. 

• Preslie Halliwell had 16 points to lead Mogadore, but the Wildcats couldn’t overcome a seven-point halftime deficit in a 51-43 Portage Trail Conference girls basketball loss to Garrettsville.

• Sammi VanScoy scored 11 points to lead her team, but Manchester’s slow start was too much to overcome as the Panthers dropped a 59-33 PAC-7 girls basketball loss to Tusky Valley.

• Frank Garretson rolled a high series of 487 and teammate Tanner Marmash had a high game of 260, but Springfield came up just short in a 2,749-2,644 Portage Trail Conference boys bowling match.

• Tyler Doerrer won the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley and Andrew Rohweder also won two events for Green in a narrow, 94-92 Federal League boys swimming loss to Hoover.
