To spite the mountainous negative influences, the Springfield School District once again received an Excellent Rating from The State of Ohio Dept. Of Education. How did this happen?

In a word - Staff!

While the buildings roof was leaking and the window sills were decorated with buckets, the staff continued to teach!

While the black mold crept up on the walls, the staff continued to teach!

While floor tiles buckled beneath their feet as a result of dampness, the staff continued to teach!
While school supplies fall short, the staff reached in their own pockets to meet the needs and continued to teach!

While the pantry was empty for snacks, the teacher provided and continued to teach!

While colleagues lost their jobs and wept as they left the building, the staff continued to teach!

While a child arrived at school with no coat in freezing winter weather, the staff provided and continued to teach!

While the classroom student count increases to place stress on personal attention, the staff continues to teach!

While the district has failed levies time and time again and teachers are neglected, yet they continue to teach!

While some parents have bailed out and moved to other districts, our staff continued to teach.
While some children learned a lesson to quit and leave ,when the going got tough, our teachers taught those who stayed a very important lesson - stay and work harder!

While political pundits,such as the Lakemore Mayor, used our schools as a stage prop, our teachers continued to teach!

While other school districts have provided bright shinny school buildings, the Springfield Staff has stayed focused and provided bright shinny students. Distractions are numerous, but our teachers are steadfast in their profession. End result - Excellence!
