Summit County Children Services builds families and builds futures, one child at a time.
The agency received nearly 11,000 calls of concern about Summit County children last year and responded with professional, innovative and effective services.
Issue 73 is a renewal of the current 2.25 mill levy – not a new tax. Since property values have declined, this renewal levy will actually yield less money for the agency in future years. Anticipating this, the organization has already cut staff and expenses and reorganized.
Keeping children safe is a high priority for Summit County. I urge voters to turn to the very last item on page four of their ballot and vote for Issue 73.
