Your library has wisely managed the funds from the current levy and not asked for an increase until now. The additional money is required to replace the reduction in the state’s Public Library Fund. Libraries are more than books. They serve as one of the few ways to level the playing field and provide everyone with access to information that they need. In just one month this year, your libraries hosted more than 10,000 children for a story time.
Or, let’s say your children or grandchildren decided since you like to read, they would give you a Nook, Kindle or another type of e-reader. The young person that made everything seem so easy is not with you now to refresh your memory. Bring your device to the library — your librarian will help you! Curious about the “digital age” but don't want to invest in it? Come to your library and your librarian will show you how to “come of age.” These are just a few of the services your library provides for you, your family and your community.
