I have spoken several times in this column about change. The old adage says, “Nothing is constant but change,”and I have found that adage to be so true it has brought me back to this subject many times.

However, this time is different. Beginning March 31 I am making another change, a change that will affect me, my family and even The Suburbanite. On that day I will begin working at my daughter’s school and will no longer be associate editor at the paper.
It has been a wonderful experience working at the newspaper for seven and a half years. I have genuinely enjoyed learning about the people and their experiences that make all our communities so wonderful. I have learned so much about these communities and made so many wonderful friends and acquaintances I don’t believe I could begin to recount all of it.

Thank you to all of you who have been willing to open your lives to me and teach me about your experiences and the history that makes these areas so wonderful. I am eternally grateful to all of you for allowing me to grow through you.

I want to also take a moment to thank the management and staff at the paper, most especially Tammy Proctor, who has been a mentor and friend to me. I have grown so much because of Tammy’s guidance and help through the years. I can’t begin to say thanks for all of it.

I don’t want to forget the many writers and photographers who have enriched my life and consistently amazed me with their incredible talent.

My move is one I am excited about, something I feel will be a positive experience for my family, but I will also miss the great experiences here at The Suburbanite.
So to all of you, I bid you farewell and hope to see you out and about in the communities I still am involved in and love.
