Iva Gae Nutter (nee Long), of Springfield, Unto the Lord, we command our mother, grandmother, sister and friend, born September 16, 1911, departed this life on June 24, 2008, daughter of the late James A. and Phoeba Butler Long. Preceded in death by George B. Nutter; daughters, Macel Chicoine and Burnice Nutter-Southard; grand-children, Brenda Cogburn Ireland, Vernon "Skip" Parsons and William Nutter; Iva is survived by children, Harold (Harriet) Nutter of Hemet, Calif., Arnold (Laurie) Nutter of Sun City, Calif., Sammi-jo Dunphy of Pico Rivera, Calif., Stacel Mugavero of Uncasville, Conn., Naomi (Gaylord) Heavner of Buckhannon, W. Va., James (Debbie) Nutter of Joshua Tree, Calif., Kay Fisher of Mogadore, Sue (James) Keener of Akron, Connie Nutter of Akron, and Terry (Douglas) Peabody of Ludlow, Vt.; sister, Mary Pipes of Lakemore; and brother Robert (Anna) Long of Dublin, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandson; and best friend, Juanita Speck of Akron. Funeral service was at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, with Rev. Bernard Christy officiating. Entombment at Hillside Memorial Park.
