Here we go again! More changes to your paper. I am hoping by the time you read this column the weather will move around the bend and change into spring! I know it is still winter, but Mother Nature teasing us has not been nice.

Puzzling
The change that will affect most readers more than the weather is our features page. Beginning next week, you will still be able to enjoy a crossword puzzle, Sudoku puzzle and word find, but you will be losing Hocus Focus.

Over the course of the last several years, we hope you have enjoyed King Features, but I think you will, in time, come to enjoy the features that The Suburbanite will offer. You will still be able to enjoy a crossword puzzle, Sudoku and word find. In place of Hocus Focus, over the next four weeks, we will run a different feature. At the end of the four weeks, we will let the you, the reader, pick what you like the best.

I look forward to your choice.

Blog with us
We want to hear from you and your opinions on a variety of topics taking place in your community. Please, blog with Tammy, Andrew and myself. To reach our blog, you can go to  www.thesuburbanite.com and click on Suburbanite blogs on the right rail or type in  http://media.thesuburbanite.com. We continue to look forward to conversing with you.

See you at the Expo
This Saturday, if you are at the Green Expo at Green High School, please stop by and visit our booth. The Suburbanite staff will be there and will be serving popcorn for the second straight year. The popcorn machine is being donated to us by Hartville Hardware. I look forward to seeing at the Expo. The Green Expo is a terrific event for people of all ages. Come out, see the high school, and all that the Green community has to offer. I hope to see you there!

Coloring contest
Do your kids enjoy coloring? If they do, we are in the third week of our coloring contest sponsored by Children’s Orchard. Please encourage your kids to participate in this contest. The staff and I enjoy judging the beautiful artwork. Weekly winners will be announced each week in the newspaper.

New publication
On Feb. 17, it was announced The Suburbanite will be producing a sister publication in Jackson Township, called The Jackson Suburbanite. It will be a weekly publication distributed on Wednesday’s, beginning April 29. While I am pleased to be bringing our quality publication to Jackson, I cannot emphasize enough that we will continue to be your hometown newspaper. You, the reader, will not notice anything different. We will cover your communities and still actively participate in your communities.

If you feel the need to express your opinion on any of the changes taking place, please feel free to call me at 330-899-2872 or e-mail me at dan.mucci@cantonrep.com.
