Green High School freshman Jacob Stanley, 15, was killed March 12 while walking home from a friend’s home on South Main Street near Tahiti Drive.
Jacob was struck by a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. No charges have been filed. There are no sidewalks or streetlights in the area. The accident happened at 7:24 p.m.
A bowler and a football player, Jacob had many friends and family who will miss him.
Jacob is survived by his mother, Deborah Stinnett, his father Jason Stanley, his stepfather Aaron Stinnett, stepbrother Tyler Stinnett and brother Ryan Stanley. His grandparents are Randy Stanley, Robert and Donna Smith and great-grandparents Elizabeth Smith and Rosemary Tracy. He was preceeded in death by his grandmother Valerie Stanley.
Funeral arrangements were made by Schermesser.
A memorial fund has been set up by friends and family. Donations may be made at any FirstMerit Bank in Jacob’s name.
