Rick Parson, Northeast Ohio manager for Doggie Day Care and Constant Companions died April 29 after a long illness.
Luella was born April 7, 1922, in Akron, the eldest daughter of Philip A. Heupel, Sr., and Julia Cole Heupel, whose romance as young deaf students at Gallaudet College eventually blossomed into a large, happy Akron family. They valued education highly. Lou excelled academically and loved sports and writing.
Green High School freshman Jacob Stanley, 15, was killed March 12 while walking home from a friend’s home on South Main Street near Tahiti Drive.

Age 74, of Parma, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010 at the Seasons of Life Residential Hospice in Parma following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born Dec. 7, 1935 at the City Hospital of Akron, Ohio to Howard Henry Watson and Anna Elizabeth (nee Barnard) Watson. She attended Green High School, graduating in 1953, and then attended the University of Akron where she studied Education.
Eugene W. “Gene” Wise, 90, passed away October 8, 2010 at Chapel Hill Community, Canal Fulton. Born October 14, 1919 to Magdalenia (Metz) and Walter A. Wise. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester (New Franklin).
Former Lake Local Board of Education member Cindy Roberts died at home Wednesday morning.
She was 53. Roberts is survived by her husband, Sam, and a son, Kevin, who is in the U.S. Navy.
Pamela Mae Lewis, 43, passed away Sept. 17, 2010.
Edd was born March 20, 1938 to Donn and Norma (Lockhard) Twigg in Indiana, PA. Edd, in the early days, competed on a national level in the AHRA winning national titles. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a charter boat captain on the western basin of Lake Erie for over thirty years operating the Walleye Warrior fishing boat. He was a member of Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church.
