Hartville and Uniontown fire departments were called to a chimney fire at a residence near Kaufman Avenue NW and state Route 619 Monday around 8:32 a.m.

The fire was a 1485 Edison St. NW.

The fire was caused by a creosote buildup in the chimney, the primary heat source for the home, said Hartville Fire Chief Richard Kamerer.

No one was injured.

The fire caused some light smoke damage and damage to the chimney, he said.
