Lakemore Village Council approved an emergency resolution to appoint Tracy Fast as interim fiscal officer in the medical absence of Fiscal Officer Richard Quay, who had emergency surgery.
Mayor Rick Justice said the appointment “is necessary and is of a temporary nature.”
OTHER BUSINESS
- A resolution was passed authorizing the mayor to enter into an agreement with NAI Cummins Commercial Real Estate Services Worldwide for the marketing and leasing of the Lakemore Police Building. Cummings will receive seven percent commission on the value of the lease, which they have brokered. If the village is able to work out an agreement with another governmental entity or local school district, the agreement will be voided.
- A resolution was approved accepting the resignation of Gene Bell as zoning inspector.
- Council also approved the mayor’s appointments of Quay as interim village administrator and Fast as interim assistant.
Emergency ordinances were passed establishing new maximum rates of compensation for employees of the village including the Department of Public Service and Lakemore Fire Department personnel.
