More snow is expected to fall Saturday with up to 3 inches possible in Stark County, according to the National Weather Service’s Cleveland office.

The chance of snow was listed at 90 percent for Saturday as the overnight temperature Friday dips to 23 degrees and climbs only to 30 on Saturday, according to the weather service’s website. Saturday night’s temperature is expected to fall to 20 degrees with a 50 percent chance of snow.

While Sunday’s forecast includes a 20 percent “slight” chance of snow, sunny skies were expected to return Monday, the weather service shows.

Stark, Wayne and Holmes counties in this area had no advisories but counties to the south — including Carroll and Tuscarawas — remained under a winter weather advisory Friday afternoon.

The advisory, issued at 10:15 a.m. Friday, called for snow accumulations by 1 p.m. Saturday of up to 4 inches with hazardous travel conditions expected, the weather service said. The advisory expires at 1 p.m. Saturday.
