Family fun and great exercise are on the schedule July 14 at Cornerstone Church.
The LEAP Frog Jog 5K Run/Walk and Family Fun Run will begin at 9 a.m.
The 5K race (3.1 miles) and walk begins at Cornerstone, located at 578 Killian Rd., and continues throughout the back roads of Coventry Township.
This chip-timed Subway Challenge Series race will include tech running T-shirts, three-deep age-level prizes and Subway sandwiches.
The 1-mile family fun run is a great time to encourage exercise, as well as free fun for the children, which includes participation medals, face painting, frog painting, sack races and more.
Registrations for the 5K race is $20 and family fun run is $10. To register for either event, go to www.active.com/running/akron-oh/leapfrog-jog-5k-race-and-1-mile-family-fun-run-2012.
Registration forms can also be picked up at Cornerstone Church. All proceeds benefit the annual LEAP outreach hosted by Cornerstone on Aug. 11.
This community service event serves 2,500 people in need from the greater Coventry area with school supply assistance, agency help, free lunch, free clothes and haircuts, as well as medical care and free food from the Akron Canton Food Bank.
