The calendar may say July, but it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
According to Rick Mirenzi of Our Town Connection Network, Vito Corleone’s Restaurant owner Debbie Harvey has agreed to be one of the first to help the Marine Corps League – led by project coordinator Santa and Bob Harris – start its annual toy drive.
“What Bob and his team of dedicated Marines is most proud of is that all of the local toys and funds collected stayed right here in Stark County,” Rick added.
From 6 to 11 p.m. July 28, Vito Corleone’s Restaurant, located at 3242 Lincoln Way E. in Massillon, will hold its first Ribs & Toys Event.
Local band Spicy Rhyme will entertain, and Harvey said guests will enjoy “great food, great entertainment and a special night that will help support needy kids in our community.”
Local business owners are stepping up to help Vito Corleone’s launch this years Toys for Toys collection.
Mirenzi said Shopbpc.com will offer restaurant vouchers for Vito Corelone’s. Simply log onto Shopbpc.com and purchase a special Vito Corleone’s coupon voucher for $32 and you will receive $40 worth of food.
Each voucher purchased will also include a cash donation to Toys for Tots.
“Our Town Connection Network hosts have personally contacted Santa and will bring him in from vacation to help kick off this event,” Mirenzi said.

The winning imitation will receive two behind-the-scenes VIP passes for a day for the local filming of the movie “Underdogs.”
