It appears that both state and federal charges will be filed against former Jackson High School assistant basketball coach Scott Studer.
Studer is facing six felony counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material for allegedly video-recording nude boys in the Jackson High locker room. No charges have been filed by federal officials, who executed a search warrant Wednesday morning at Studer’s home.
There has been no discussion of merging the local and federal cases.
“At this point, they are separate investigations,” said Chryssa Hartnett, assistant county prosecutor.
Hartnett said local charges could remain or be modified following the completion of a Jackson police investigation, which was launched Wednesday morning after federal officials discovered video images from the Jackson High locker room at Studer’s home.
