At 3:30 p.m. today, Wise Road will reopen to traffic.
A section of the roadway near Mayfair Road was repaired after the discovery of unsafe road conditions due to mine subsidence, which occurs when an underground mine starts to collapse causing the roadway to sink.
The road has been repaired, but is scheduled for a final resurfacing this summer in conjunction with other road resurfacing projects.
